New in Doodle! 11:
Preview Doodle Style:
Click the "Preview Selected Style" button in Doodle and you will be presented with a before and after preview image. The preview gives you a quick idea of what the settings will look like. Clicking "OK" in the dialog (shown in the screenshot below) takes you back to the Doodle dialog. This allows you to customize the settings to you liking much faster than in previous versions of Doodle.
Doodle Pen Color Option:
Allows a custom pen color for all doodled lines (including doodle hatch lines). The image (below) to the left is is perfectly black. This lessons the realism and creates a "harder" image. The image to the right is a very dark custom doodle pen color. This increases the realism by softening the image making the ink appear to bleed into the paper.
More “human” Doodle Hatches and Marker Fills:
The hatch lines and marker strokes are not perfectly parallel creating a more human look. Previous versions of Doodle created more perfectly parallel hatches and markers making them appear rigid. The examples below show the more natural look of them in Doodle 11.

Doodle! gives you complete control over the hand-drawn look of your document. Giving you the ability to adjust each individual setting, Doodle allows you to even imitate your own (or someone eleses) drawing srtyle!

Doodle! Pen (the main engine):
The "Doodle! Pen" will give a hand-drawn look to the selected objects in VectorWorks. Controls allow you to select:
- Corner Definition / Smoothing
- Endpoint Effects (Pen Soak and Double Stroke)
Doodle! Hatch (Polygon Fill):
The "Doodle! Hatch" fills selected polygons with a hatch to give a hand "pen & ink" shading effect. Controls allow you to select:
Doodle! Marker (Polygon Fill):
The "Doodle! Marker" fills selected polygons to look like they were hand colored with markers. Controls allow you to select:
Doodle! Styles:
Your favorite Doodle settings can be saved as a "Doodle Style" for later use. Doodle 10's multiple style feature allows you to use up to ten different styles at one time. Any number of classes can be assigned to each "Doodle Style". This means that objects will be doodled with the "Doodle Style" that their class is assigned to.
